Cotswold Aquarius Vulpine Sack Review

Cotswold Aquarius: the fabric specialists who are not only producing the most functional luggage items around, but ones which will last you a lifetime too

Cotswold Aquarius: the brand you go to for the best designed luggage items. The brand you go to for the best fabrics. The brand you go to for hand-stitched, British made items. And the only brand you tap up for a product that will last a lifetime.
Currently sat at the top of our payday shopping list is their new Vulpine Sack: primarily designed for the angler on the move and travelling light, and when you combine that functionality with exceptional build quality and materials, it means we can’t sing its praises highly enough.

The Vulpine Sack measures 356(h) x 242(W) x 278cl (L) – For the ultimate pairing, partner this with the Vulpine Sling or one of their smaller quivers

Six pockets, five of which are different shapes/sizes and all external ones are padded (and feature hardwearing zips with rain covers): one full-length on the right, two smaller ones on the left; and one large front pocket with internal mesh pocket and various openings/slots. Unzip to the main compartment and you’ll discover a mesh zipped top flap pocket, Velcro flapped back pocket and a zipped side security pocket. Head back outside and there’s a reinforced wipe clean base, a well padded back panel and harness system with chest strap to ensure total comfort even on the longest of walks.

And whilst we’ve all coughed at the sight of that price tag, you must remember three things. One: this is made by the finest machinists the Cotswolds has to offer – not mass-produced out in China or Taiwan. Two: the functionality is the best of any rucksack we’ve had land on our Reviews Desk. And three: for those two reasons you’re getting a rucksack which, like we mentioned at the start, will last you a lifetime.
