Mark ‘Boots’ Johnson

My fishing all started at the age of 4 fishing with my uncle most weekends down on the river Ouse where we would go to catch perch, roach, rudd, bream and tench. Then it moved on to holidays away in the caravan where we fished lakes that contained carp and after my first capture that was me hooked on carp. At the age of 17 and with a car i soon started fishing local pits around Cambridgeshire for carp and choosing to always hunt down the biggest in the Lake and since then I’ve never looked back. Living in St. Ives now has meant over the years I’ve fished and spent a lot of time learning big pits and small pit and catching plenty of carp along the way.
