I have fished from the age of four and as a young lad was encouraged to fish all sorts of venues in the UK. From salmon Rivers and Lochs in Scotland and Ireland to large East Anglian gravel pits angling for Pike and Perch, from Welsh valleys stalking Brown Trout, to fishing local Hertfordshire lakes for Carp, Rudd and Roach I finally found an obsession for the River Carp of the River Great Ouse.

I have found great interest in the last decade chasing these nomadic creatures and the peace and serenity of their surroundings simply adds to the touch. I also have fished other Stillwater lakes in the Ouse valley and find myself now on the brilliant St Ives lakes complex Wind swept gravel pits and mile long waterways add to immense passion that is Carp fishing and I enjoy dearly writing on the subject.
